Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
PuppyPulse is a puppy care tracking app for new puppy parents. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can remove it. PuppyPulse is a tracking tool, not veterinary advice.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a user identifier through Firebase Authentication. We use this to identify you and connect you to your household.
- Care data you enter. Your household name, puppy profiles (name, breed, sex, birthday, weight, microchip number, and any note you add), care events you log (for example potty, meals, naps, walks, and their times and notes), reminders, care tasks, and health records. This is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (region australia-southeast1) and is visible to the members of your household.
- Device tokens. A Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored for your account so household notifications (for example "your partner logged a meal") can reach your device. Tokens are replaced when they change and are not used for advertising.
- Purchase information. If you buy Premium, the purchase is processed by Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status; we never see or store your card details.
- Diagnostics. Firebase Analytics records basic usage events (such as first open, household created, and purchases) and Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports with device model and OS version. These help us keep the app working. We do not collect the advertising identifier.
What stays on your device
- Photos you attach to your puppy or to care events are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded.
- Small preferences (weight unit, the puppy selected on this device) are stored locally.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no ad identifiers.
- We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
- We do not use your data to train artificial intelligence models.
Service providers
We rely on: Google Firebase (sign-in, database, notifications, analytics, crash reporting), Google Play (payments), RevenueCat (purchase management), and Cloudflare (delivering household push notifications). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
- You can delete your account inside the app: Settings, then Delete account. This removes your account and the data you own.
- Data that belongs to a shared household (for example care logs you added) may remain for the other household members.
- You can also email us to request deletion, and we will remove your account and personal information.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to a household's data is limited to its signed-in members by server-side security rules.
Children
PuppyPulse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
